Watch: 8 MMFF 2018 Official Entries Movie Trailer (Videos)



The Metro Manila Film Festival Executive Committee (Execom) 2018 has recently announced the four more movies that will be part of the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), thus completing the ‘Magic 8’ official movie entries to the said annual festival, which will start on December 25, 2018 (Christmas Day) until January 7, 2019.

The 4 additional finished films are:

Rainbow Sunset

Produced by Heaven’s Best Entertainment and directed by Joel Lamangan, this family love story drama stars Eddie Garcia and Tony Mabesa as elderly gay lovers. Also in the cast are Gloria Romero, Tirso Cruz III, Aiko Melendez Shido Roxas, Ross Pesigan and Sunshine Dizon.

One Great Love

Produced by Regal Films and directed by Eric Quizon, this coming-of-age love story stars Dennis Trillo, Kim Chiu and JC De Vera, supported by Miles Ocampo, Marlo Mortel, and Nina Dolino. Based on the story conference, this movie is about a woman of late twenties who has still many questions as when she really wants to get married. As of posting, there is no movie trailer yet.

Mary, Marry Me

Produced by Ten17 Films (owned by Paul Soriano, Toni Gonzaga’s husband) and directed by RC Delos Reyes, this love triangle comedy movie stars real-life sisters Toni Gonzaga and Alex Gonzaga who will be fighting over the character of Sam Milby, with Alex as Sam’s fiancée. Also in the cast are Bayani Agbayani and Melai Cantiveros.

Otlum

Produced by Horsehoe Productions and directed by Joven Tan, this horror movie stars collegiate basketball star Ricci Rivero of the UP Fighting Maroons in his first ever movie. Also in the cast are Buboy Villar, Jerome Ponce, and John Estrada and is about a group of friends who dared each other to stay inside a haunted house. As of posting, there is no movie trailer yet.

Produced by Aliud Entertainment and Viva Films and directed by Yam Laranas, this horror movie stars Anne Curtis and about a woman who will help find survivors of a sunken ship. Also in the cast are Marco Gumabao, Arnold Reyes, Mercedes Cabral, Allan Paule, and Ricardo Cepeda.

Fantastica: The Princess, The Prince and The Perya

Produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films and directed by Barry Gonzalez, this fantasy slapstick comedy film stars Vice Ganda, Richard Gutierrez, Dingdong Dantes, and Bela Padilla. Also in the cast are Loisa Andalio, Maymay Entrata, Kisses Delavin, Donny Pangilinan, and Ronnie Alonte. As of posting, there is no movie trailer yet.

Girl in the Orange Dress

Produced by Quantum and MJM Films and directed by Jay Abello, this romantic comedy stars Jessy Mendiola, Jericho Rosales, Tom Rodriguez and is about a conservative girl who slept in a 5-star hotel room with the country’s biggest celebrity actor and cannot remember how she got there.

Popoy En Jack: The Puliscredibles

Produced by CCM Film Productions, APT Entertainment M-Zet Productions, this action comedy film stars Vic Sotto and Coco Martin together for the first time, along with the phenomenal star Maine Mendoza, and directed by Rodel Nacianceno (Coco Martin’s real name). This is about three dedicated cops who will join forces against the bad guys.
